Lummi Island Conservancy
Organization Description
Lummi Island Conservancy is a nonprofit group working to protect the rural character of Lummi Island. It sprang from an informal group of people who organized after the Trillium Corporation bought about 500 acres oon Lummi Mountain is 1988. Members worked with other groups and with government agencies to have the land purchased as a refuge for peregrine falcons. Since then, members have worked on several issues, including preserving forests on Lummi Mountain, initiating a study of island ground
