Seeking experienced after-school art teacher for grades K-2. EduARTS, a division of Bellingham Arts Academy for Youth, is a program that works with individual elementary schools to bring arts enrichment classes to their students. This position is three days a week. Specifically, Tuesday from 3-4PM, Wednesday from 1:15-2:15PM, and Thursday from 3-4PM. You may work with the kids on drawing, painting, crafts, mixed media, or anything you wish!

The Arts Director plays a leadership role in formulating strategies that support the Jansen Art Center's artistic and community engagement goals as well as expanding the organization's reputation within our greater region. The Arts Director position is a bridge between the artists -who are vital in providing content for the Center's activities and programming- and the administration, which facilitates delivery of that programming to the public.

The successful candidate must possess a broad understanding of the arts, curatorial practices, and the needs of practicing artists, as well as top-notch leadership and communication skills. Preference will be given to those with demonstrated business acumen and/or experience with fundraising and non-profit enterprises. They will have a Bachelor's Degree (M.A. preferred)and 5 years gallery, museum studies, art curation, administration or a combination/ equivalent experience.

This is a fulltime, salaried position with a range of $35,000-$40,000; benefits to be negotiated. Position open until filled; preferred start date approximately June, 1, 2014.

A full-time Administrative Manager (AM) is needed for a small nonprofit organization. We are seeking a grounded and emotionally mature individual that has a high energy level, a positive affect, and a wide range of organizational and administrative strengths.
This is a leadership role. The AM works closely with our Executive Director and a team of skilled and dedicated administrative staff. We need a person with excellent communication skills who is comfortable with change and can join our team as a collaborator and supervisor. The position is complex and can be demanding, but offers the right person the chance to play a very important role in the growth of our organization.
Our ideal candidate will have strong managerial and technological skills, and will have solid experience with Quickbooks Pro and Filemaker Pro or comparable applications. The Whatcom Literacy Council is a small local nonprofit that provides free programs to adults who ask for help to improve their literacy skills.  We are seeking a motivated individual to coordinate the program where volunteer tutors are matched with "learners" and supported throughout their service. WAHA partners with Northwest Regional Council and PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center to assist patients with their transitions from the hospital to home or other care settings. The goal is to improve the quality of care for the patients, while also reducing health care costs by reducing the likelihood that the patient will return to the hospital unnecessarily.

We are seeking to fill multiple, part-time positions that can range from 24-32 hours per week or 5-10 hour per week contractual positions.

The discharge referral coordinator is an employee of WAHA stationed at PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center (or potentially other hospitals), with a matrixed relationship with the hospital discharge department. This individual will oversee the day-to-day operations of referrals of eligible beneficiaries within the context of the hospital's and the community's broader referral framework.
