From Dessert Dashes to BBQ’s, you can create and live through successful events;. Whether they are ‘friendraising’ or fundraising, almost every non-profit hosts events, usually on a shoe-string budget with minimal staff. We will focus on the do’s, don’ts, and best practices of holding successful events and keeping your sanity. Join us and share your experiences and ideas with your peers. WCN Web 2.0 Roundtable

Are you utilizing Web 2.0 platforms such as Twitter and Facebook to promote your organization and engage with the community? A monthly special-interest gathering of nonprofit Web 2.0 experimentialists. Converse with other nonprofits using these tools, share best practices, discuss strategies and more. Final Total for the Whatcom Giveathon
The Whatcom Giveathon was a great success! For a first time event the total amount received by organizations at the event was $38,178 plus another $15,000 for Lydia Place received at the event that was donated two weeks prior. Thank you to all who donated and to the Whatcom County Association of Realtors, the Bellingham Herald, Whidbey Island Bank, and Allstate for their substantial contributions and to the event partners for their time in coordinating or publicizing the event: Whatcom Council of Nonprofits, Whatcom Volunteer Center, Whatcom Coalition for Healthy Communities, and Bellingham/Whatcom Chamber of Commerce and Industry. *Note: These nonprofits applied for consideration and were selected by the Whatcom County Association of Realtors Philanthropic Committee.
