Here’s a great place to start with inquiries about any aspect of nonprofit management, governance or legal issues. It is now part of idealist.org which is also a great place to post and look for jobs. The "Nonprofit FAQ" directs you to many different topic areas such as: organization, management, regulation, resources and development and then takes you to specific information in each area. A wealth of knowledge is at this site.

Internal Revenue Service information for Exempt Organizations. This site is a must for new nonprofits seeking tax-exempt status. If that’s you, spend some time exploring this site. Unfortunately, the "tax-exempt organization kit" contains forms for downloading that you cannot fill in on your computer. Not to worry, just pick up the same form at the IRS "fill-in form web page" http://www.irs.gov/forms_pubs/fillin.html
